Clever superstitions used to keep the rain away at the 2018 Joburg Open

by | Dec 7, 2017

Due to the rainy weather on Tuesday the Pro-Am Tournament was unfortunately rained out. The greenkeepers were doing everything they could to keep the two courses playable as the pros arrived throughout the day to get a feel of things ahead of the start of the 2018 Joburg Open.

Thankfully the weather cleared up on Wednesday for the Professionals to practice and there is no rain at the moment for the start of the Joburg Open 2018. We however feel it was due to our clever superstitions we implemented to keep the rain away. A fork in the ground, a glass of water upside down and a broom in the tree.

Now all you need to keep the rain at bay for the rest of the tournament is a woman to carry a shoe on her back for the next four days!!! It works like a charm at weddings – golf is after all a life-time commitment.
